Jaan Nissar Lone

Composer | Music Producer | Singer |
Cultural Ambassador

Jaan Nissar Lone is an Indian composer, singer, and music producer whose work beautifully blends Indian classical, Kashmiri folk, and contemporary world sounds. Born and raised in Kashmir, his music reflects the serenity, mysticism, and emotional depth of his homeland. After completing his early education, Jaan moved to Mumbai to pursue music professionally.

Trained in Indian classical music from the Patiala gharana and influenced by Western musical styles, he developed a distinctive sound that bridges traditional and modern elements. Jaan began his career in the Indian film industry with Shudra: The Rising (2012) and went on to compose for films such as A Code of Secrecy, JD, Half Widow, Pranaam, and Ginny Weds Sunny. His song “Rubaru” from Ginny Weds Sunny was nominated at the Mirchi Music Awards in the “Best Raag-Based Song” category, marking him as one of the few contemporary composers keeping India’s classical essence alive in mainstream music.

As the founder of AR Music Studios, Jaan Nissar Lone has produced and composed several acclaimed independent songs including Harmukh Bartal, Salam e Wazwane, Peer Myanio, Khodaya, Dilbaro – Portrait of Love, and Zindagi. His compositions often celebrate love, culture, and spirituality while highlighting the beauty of Kashmir’s musical legacy. Beyond his work as a musician, Jaan has also emerged as a cultural ambassador. He serves as the Global President of the BRICS Culture Media Forum, promoting cultural exchange, peace, and creative collaboration among nations
